Matba Rofex, leader in Latin America's futures markets, enters the tokenized economy through the Group's corporate venture capital vehicle, Primary Ventures. Matba Rofex is the result of the merger between two renowned entities in Argentina: the Mercado a Término de Buenos Aires (MATBA) and the Mercado de Rosario (Rofex). With more than two centuries of experience between the two companies, the merger of MATBA and Rofex has had a significant impact on the improvement of the Argentine futures and options industry. The transaction, valued at US$274 million, thus marked a before and after in the Argentine financial landscape.
Today, Matba Rofex's scope of action transcends the purely financial sector, extending also to the agricultural sector with the trading of futures linked to grain production, thus consolidating its presence in the Argentine economy.
Its investment in Token City represents a valuable milestone for both organizations. It reinforces Token City's role as one of the leaders in the field of tokenization of financial assets globally, and positions Matba Rofex at the technological forefront of futures and options trading.

Caram explained how securities tokenization can reshape the way traditional stock exchanges operate; the initiatives being carried out by Matba Rofex to adapt to this new era, and the progress made by Latin American exchanges in this regard, as well as the Group's decision to acquire a stake in Token City's capital.
